My previous marathon times chart the progress I've made from 4-hour plodder to sub-3 dreamer. When I crossed the line in Paris in 2010, I would never have thought that a sub-3 hour finish could possibly be within my capabilities. However, bar an absolutely disastrous run in London in 2011 (which I'm sure I will blog about some time in the future), I've been fortunate to secure a PB at each of my marathons. I hope that this pattern continues at London next year, though I accept that my days of taking twenty minute chunks off my PB are over. The challenge now is to find the extra 107 seconds needed to realise my sub-3 ambitions.
